Who I Am

Profile • Academic • Community Health
Hey! This is Sazin. You can call me “Prof,” “Onik,” or “Mr. Zin,” as my friends do. I am a nobody from the land of green. Academically, I am a microbiologist, though I have had a versatile professional journey. This journey ended with me as a faculty member in Public Health. Now, I am a kind of freelancer, hosting my own business—an “entrepreneur” in your terms. Actually, I love to live life by my own choices while following the Prophet’s path.
Sazin Islam is a distinguished public health professional with over 12 years of experience as a researcher, academic, and community health advocate. As a former Assistant Professor of the Department of Public Health at First Capital University of Bangladesh, Sazin pioneered public health education and research. He has authored over 57 international scientific publications and contributed to prominent conferences around the world.
His research spans epidemiological studies on pressing health issues to analyzing healthcare infrastructure and policies. Sazin is deeply knowledgeable about biostatistics, disease prevention and control, maternal and child health, and applying evidence-based solutions. Beyond academia, he works to uplift vulnerable communities through public health campaigns and addressing health disparities. When not researching or teaching, Sazin provides volunteer medical translation to aid non-English speakers in accessing healthcare, and mentors students pursuing careers in public health and medicine.
Now he is pursuing service in the power management sector as an entrepreneur for solar, power backup, and related solutions through SR Power.
